Photographs by WeissenbornDutch photographer Thilly Weissenborn (Kediri, 1889 – Baarn, 1964) is regarded as the first female professional photographer in the Netherlands East Indies. She began working at the Kurkdjian studio in 1913 and became the owner of the "Foto Lux" photo studio in Garoet in 1920. This section presents 21 mounted photographs from Foto Lux. Twelve of these photos are depicted and described in the book “Vastgelegd voor later” by Ernst Drissen.
