Description:
A fleet interiors brochure for VNS’s combo liners.
The cover features elegant graphics highlighted in gold. Inside,
the pages are bright orange. Included are the Aagtekerk and
Almkerk twins, built in 1934. Photographs show these were
fitted with unusual Maierform bows. Also profiled are two
pairs of early 1920s ships: Serooskerk and Zuiderkerk, and
Gaasterkerk and Grootekerk. Each pair is accompanied by
two full deck plans. Twelve b&w photographs, unattributed to
specific vessels, showcase comfortable, even stylish, cabins and
public rooms. All six of these vessels were lost in the coming
war. (softcover, 14 pages)
